When you want to buy or sell photos, photo-direct.net is the place. To sell your photos you can publish your photos in the Public View or Private View Photo Category. Using photo-direct.net's database structure and unparalleled search engine, Photo Buyers can quickly and easily find the "Just Right" photos that they look for.

Photo-direct.net takes the pain out of selling your photos!

If you put a photo in the Public View Photo Category, it means that that photo will be viewable without restriction by all visitors and members of our site.

When viewing a Public View Photos Category the visitor can view the photo owner's profile , post a comment , which is available for other members to read , and rate it between 1 and 5. The number entered will be used to compute the new Rating Average score of the photo. Only the owners can see the Rating Average score of their photos.

As a member, you can put viewed photos into your personal Public View Photos Folder for future reference.

photo-direct.net also keeps statistics on how many times each photo has been selected, viewed (displayed on a separate window in a higher 600x600-pixel resolution) and put in visitor Public View Photos Folders.

photo-direct.net's database supports four categories of photos :

1) Public View photos

2) Breaking News photos

3) Private View (password required)

4) Personal View (viewable only by the photo's owner)

Each one of these categories of photos has many data fields that are searchable, which makes finding stock photos a breeze. This is like having your photos stored in the photo bank of a photo library, only here it is much quicker and easier for photo buyers looking to buy stock photography to find the "just right" stock photos they want, which will increase your chances of selling your photos.

Before uploading your photo to our site, you need to know the following:

1) Ensure that your photo are in a JPEG or GIF file format with a MAXIMUM resolution of 600x600 pixels (any file larger than the prescribed maximum will be rejected by the system). Our system will then automatically generate a 200x200 pixels thumbnail photo for listing in search results. When the user clicks on the thumbnail photo, your original 600x600-pixel photo will be displayed in a separate pop-up window.

2) We accept horizontally as well as vertically-oriented photos.

3) As a deterrent to any unauthorized use of your photos, photo-direct.net has disabled the SAVE function when right-clicking on the mouse, and when your photo is displayed in the pop-up window, we also prevent people from saving your photos.

When a photo buyer is interested in buying a photo, he will contact the owner of the photograph directly by either e-mail, phone or fax. photo-direct.net does not take any commission on your sales, nor do we get involved in your negotiations with photo buyers.

Photo Categories that are searchable in the database are

WARNING

photo-direct.net does not allow any of the following content to be published on our site:

• Content of a pornographic or sexually explicit nature.
• Content of an illegal nature (including stolen copyrighted material).
• Content that could be reasonably considered as slanderous or libelous.

photo-direct.net members posting any of the above content in their environment will be given a 48 hour grace period to take corrective action. If no corrective action is taken within the given grace period, the member account will be automatically cancelled without appeal or refund of any subscription fees paid.
