Sell Photographs

When you want to buy or sell photographs, photo-direct.net is the place. A Photographer or a Model may want to set aside some stock photographs that are viewable only by guests with a valid password (Private View). photo-direct.net supports this feature. A Photographer or a Model may have multiple sets of Private View photographs, each set secured with its own password.

Photo-direct.net takes the pain out of selling your pictures!

If you put a photograph in the Private View category, it means that that photograph will only be viewed by visitors with the a valid password.

When viewing a Private View Photograph or a Private View Model Photograph the visitor can post a comment , which is available for other members (with the required password) to read , and rate it between 1 and 5. The number entered will be used to compute the new Rating Average score of the Private View Photograph or Private View Model Photograph. Only the owners can see the Rating Average score of their Private View photographs.

As a member, you can put viewed Private View photographs into your personal Private View Photographs Folder for future reference. You can also put viewed Private View model photographs into your personal Private View Model Photographs Folder.

photo-direct.net also keeps statistics on how many times each Private View photograph has been selected, viewed (displayed on a separate window in a higher 600x600-pixel resolution) and put in visitor Private View Stock or Model Photographs Folders.

photo-direct.net's database supports four groups of pictures:

1) Public View photographs

2) Breaking News photographs

3) Private View (password required)

4) Personal View (viewable only by the photograph's owner)

Each one of these categories of stock photographs has many data fields that are searchable, which makes finding stock photographs a breeze. This is like having your stock photographs stored in the photo bank of a stock picture library, only here it is much quicker and easier for photo buyers looking to buy stock photographs to find the "just right" stock photos they want, which will increase the photographer's chances of selling stock photography.

Before uploading your photographs to our site, you need to know the following:

1) Ensure that your photograph are in a JPEG or GIF file format with a MAXIMUM resolution of 600x600 pixels (any file larger than the prescribed maximum will be rejected by the system). Our system will then automatically generate a 200x200 pixels thumbnail image for listing in search results. When the user clicks on the thumbnail picture, your original 600x600-pixel stock photograph will be displayed in a separate pop-up window.

2) We accept horizontally as well as vertically-oriented photographs.

3) As a deterrent to any unauthorized use of your stock photographs, photo-direct.net has disabled the SAVE function when right-clicking on the mouse, and when your photograph is displayed in the pop-up window, we also prevent people from saving your photograph.

When a photo buyer is interested in buying a photograph, he will contact the owner of the stock photograph directly by either e-mail, phone or fax. photo-direct.net does not take any commission on your sales, nor do we get involved in your negotiations with photo buyers.

WARNING

photo-direct.net does not allow any of the following content to be published on our site:

• Content of a pornographic or sexually explicit nature.
• Content of an illegal nature (including stolen copyrighted material).
• Content that could be reasonably considered as slanderous or libelous.

photo-direct.net members posting any of the above content in their environment will be given a 48 hour grace period to take corrective action. If no corrective action is taken within the given grace period, the member account will be automatically cancelled without appeal or refund of any subscription fees paid.
