A Photographer or Model may want to post some pictures that only they can have access to. photo-direct.net lets you do that by supporting a Personal View Photos category. Only you will be able to search for and view these pictures. Obviously, no statistics on to the number of times a Personal View Photo has been selected, viewed, or put in a folder will be kept for this category of photos. As a member, you can put your Personal View pictures in your Personal View Photos Folder for future reference.

If you want to sell your stock pictures on photo-direct.net you can publish your stock pictures in any one of the 4 categories of stock pictures that photo-direct.net's database supports:

1) Public View pictures

2) Breaking News pictures

3) Private View (password required)

4) Personal View (viewable only by the picture owner)

Each one of these categories of pictures has many data fields that are searchable, which makes finding stock pictures a breeze. This is like having your pictures stored in the photo bank of a picture library, only here it is much quicker and easier for photo buyers looking to buy stock picture to find the "just right" stock photos they want, which will increase your chances of selling your stock pictures.

Before uploading your pictures to our site, you need to know the following:

1) Ensure that your pictures are in a JPEG or GIF file format with a MAXIMUM resolution of 600x600 pixels (any file larger than the prescribed maximum will be rejected by the system). Our system will then automatically generate a 200x200 pixels thumbnail picture for listing in search results. When the user clicks on the thumbnail picture, your original 600x600-pixel picture will be displayed in a separate pop-up window.

2) We accept horizontally as well as vertically-oriented pictures.

3) As a deterrent to any unauthorized use of your pictures , photo-direct.net has disabled the SAVE function when right-clicking on the mouse, and when your picture is displayed in the pop-up window, we also prevent people from saving your picture.

When a photo buyer is interested in buying a stock picture, he will contact the owner of the picture directly by either e-mail, phone or fax. photo-direct.net does not take any commission on your sales, nor do we get involved in your negotiations with photo buyers.
